BCS two wheel or pedestrian tractors are all gear driven without any belts or chains. The wheels are powered through a forward and reverse drive gearbox to propel the machine at a speed to guarantee an even job of cultivation or mowing. The handle bars are reversible so that attachments can be pushed or pulled behind. They can be slightly offset to either side too, to avoid walking on freshly cultivated soil. An instant reverser or "shuttle shift" means you can change direction without changing gear.
